Leap, Land, Regret, Repeat?

STORIES

Recap - In my last post, I talked about taking a leap of faith, leaving behind the stability of my role as a team leader, and jumping into the exciting world of startups. Well, I took the leap—and landed as the 13th employee of a new startup. Sounds cool, right? I even moved to a new city for it, leaving behind the familiarity of Bangalore.

But here’s the twist: while the city has its charm, I miss Bangalore. And more importantly, the boss here? Not so great. Just a month into the job, he asked me to tell a customer off for giving negative feedback. Imagine being in customer care and being told to literally confront the people you’re supposed to help. Weird doesn’t even begin to cover it.

And now, like before, I’m left wondering: Have I made the wrong decision? But this time, it feels different. It feels like I actually did.

So here I am, planning my return to Bangalore just two months after taking this leap. Another leap, another misstep. How many more am I going to take? Honestly, I don’t know. For now, I’ll pack my bags, chalk this up as a lesson, and prepare for what comes next.

Stay tuned for yet another chapter in my ever-leaping story. 😂
